Climate change is the most prominent threat the world is facing, and it is having a severe impact on all aspects of life on this planet. Like all countries, the State of Palestine will be hit hard by climate change. Indeed, signs of the impact are already evident, well defined, and clearly observed. The Environment Quality Authority has coordinated preparation of this Green Climate Fund National Country Programme with the aim of scaling up national adaptation and mitigation projects.
Introduced through UNDP, under a partnership with the Palestinian government and major funding from the Islamic Development Bank (Al Aqsa Fund), DEEP has become the State of Palestine’s primary model for assisting poor households to access financial services and other economic empowerment tools.
